The Free Palestine Walks

In 2009, AAPER launched the Free Palestine Walks, which are silent marches for an equitable U.S. policy toward Palestine that advances freedom and equal rights for the Palestinian people. Since then, nearly 75 cities have participated and have raised more than $65,000 to educate Americans about Palestine.

AAPER continues that tradition with Free Palestine Walks in the fall of 2011 and other walks in the Spring of 2012.  Like the AIDS Walks, Breast Cancer Walks, and Freedom Walks during the Civil Rights Movement, the Free Palestine Walks can have a major impact in educating Americans abou the situation in Palestine.

In North Carolina, Free Palestine Walks will be held on October 1, 2011 in Greenville and Chapel Hill, with registration taking place from 12:00 to 1:00 in both places.  The Walks will start at 1:15 PM.

The Greenville Walk will begin at the Pitt County Court House.

The Chapel Hill Walk will begin at the Justice Plaza.
