CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE

Engaging one's elected representatives is one of the most important acts that a citizen can undertake in a democracy. If you don't engage and educate your representatives, how can they be expected to know, or agree with, your views?  Of course, educating your representative is just one part of helping to forge an equitable U.S. policy toward Israel and Palestine.  And while doing so will not lead your representative to change their minds overnight, it is an important ongoing activity that eventually leads to change.

For this reason, AAPER encourages you to engage your elected representatives. We provide you with your representatives’ contact information, connect you with other constituents, help you arrange meetings, let you know when key issues are arising, and offer you useful information so that you can inform your representatives and their staffs about the situation in Palestine.  All you need to do is contact them, which you can using our website in one of the following four ways:

Sign a petition to your elected representatives to let them know about the situation in Israel and Palestine and that they have constituents in their states and districts who support an equitable U.S. policy toward Israel and Palestine.  Once we have received enough signatures from constituents in your state or district, we'll hand deliver it to your representative.

Email or fax your representative(s) -- use one of our pre-written letters or use your own words and customize it, which is always most effective.
(estimated time: between 2 and 20 minutes, depending on whether you want to customize it)

Call your representative(s) -- we walk you through the entire process.
